The 100 People Who Care About You

August 28, 20261 min read

I have a list in my dresser that started as 100 people who cared about me. It ended up being much longer.

It's my "Why."

I created it because my pain brain was lying to me and telling me I was alone.

The list cleared up the lies.

When times are tough—when we're stressed, overwhelmed, or grieving—we forget who has our back.

This was a list I adapted from my athletes. A reminder that no matter how they performed, nobody would ever leave the list.

The list becomes simple and easy when you include the people you see every day. The places where everybody knows your name. It really comes to life during major milestones—weddings, graduations, births, and funerals.

If you get my emails or follow me, you're on my list.

Creating the list got me out of my head and into reality.

Make the list all at once or build it over a week. Either way, you'll raise your awareness and focus on the people who care about you.

Simple. Not easy.

Ask for help from your friends and your family. You'll be glad you did.
